Can’t wait for those Keith Black pistons to explode.

I thought they were decent pistons. Why would they explode?

Because Keith Black pistons are shit unless they’re forged.

In my experience every engine that was worked over to be more than mild that had KB pistons had them coming apart. They are probably find for close-to-stock applications. I won’t buy another set.

KB Hypers can be very much hit-or-miss.
I actually have one sitting on my desk, out of a BBC with closed chamber heads. Pulled out of an engine with less than 100 miles that was smoking like a locomotive. Poor ring pack, short skirt, dome not smoothed out.
Owner of said engine was not pleased. I am glad I didn’t build it.

I think the claimer 350/street 350 pistons are probably good as there would have been way too many failures for the Silv-o-lite shit to stay around.
